Police Identify Victims Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-95 in Clinton

Two people died after a crash involving a wrong-way driver and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 southbound in Clinton on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 in Clinton near Exit 63 around 1:40 a.m.

State police said a Honda CR-V being driven by 35-year-old Olger Armijos, of New Haven, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.

Armijos, and his passenger, Heraldo Solano, 41, of New Haven, were both killed in the crash.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since fully reopened.

State police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
