The death of a 6-year-old boy who collapsed in the lunch line at a Bronx school has been declared a homicide months later.

The city medical examiner's office ruled Friday that Tyzavier Martin's June 14 collapse was the delayed result of an attack by his mother, who police say slashed his neck and that of his 2-year-old sister.

Authorities say 24-year-old Shanice Martin slashed the children with a box cutter on April 27. The children were hospitalized and then placed in their father's care.

Tyzavier collapsed and started bleeding on his second day back at school. Doctors were not initially certain that his death was related to the slashing.

Martin has been jailed since the attack. Information on her attorney wasn't available.
