Celtics Sweep Pacers, Advance in Postseason

The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers, 110-106, on Sunday afternoon to complete a first round series sweep and advance to the second round of the Eastern Conference postseason.

It's the first time the Celtics have swept an opponent in the playoffs since the 2011 postseason, when they eliminated the New York Knicks in four games in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Seven Celtics scored in double figures, led by Gordon Hayward's 20 points off the bench. Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, Al Horford, Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier all scored at least 11 points for Boston.

The fourth-seeded Celtics will play the winner of the No. 1 Milwaukee Bucks vs. No. 8 Detroit Pistons series. Milwaukee currently holds a 3-0 series lead, with Game 4 on Monday night in Detroit. The Bucks have won each game by at least 16 points.

Milwaukee won two out of three meetings in the regular season with the Celtics. Boston won last year's Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series vs. the Bucks, 4-3.
