Per Shams Charania of the The Athletic, the Celtics have extended the contract of the recently-acquired Richardson through the 2022-23 season.

The 27-year-old Richardson, whom the Celtics acquired from the Dallas Mavericks on July 30, had already exercised an $11.6 million player option for the upcoming season.
