Brady's hype video for Lightning won't sit well with Boston fans originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
Tom Brady spent two decades in New England, but he's already a Tampa Bay superfan after just over a year with the Buccaneers.
The former Patriots quarterback took the time to send the Tampa Bay Lightning a video message Saturday while his (new) hometown hockey team battled the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 4 of their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff matchup.

"To all the Tampa Bay Lightning fans, let's do this again Lightning," Brady says in the video. "Let's go for two, people! Let's keep Lord Stanley here in the Bay right where he belongs. Let's get that Cup again. Go Bolts, let's go!"
The Lightning are trying to defend their title after winning the 2020 Stanley Cup, and Brady apparently was a good luck charm: Tampa Bay beat the Hurricanes 6-4 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead.

Boston fans may point out that Brady rarely showed this much support for the Bruins during his Patriots tenure. The 43-year-old QB had a close relationship with Zdeno Chara and often showed his support for the B's defenseman on Instagram, but we can't recall Brady making many hype videos for the Black and Gold, even during their 2019 run to the Stanley Cup Final.
Brady seems to be fully embracing life in Tampa Bay, though, and after bringing the Bucs their second Super Bowl title in franchise history, he's all aboard the Lightning bandwagon in their quest for the Cup.
That quest may run through Boston, too: The Bruins would face the Lightning in the semifinals if both teams win their second-round series.
Fortunately, the Bruins have plenty of support from their local football team during their own Cup run.
