Jonathan Choe is a general assignment reporter for NBC 10 Boston and necn. Prior to his arrival, Choe spent three years at KMSP-TV FOX 9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota.
He also worked in Chicago as a general assignment reporter for Chicagoland Television (CLTV), the Tribune-owned 24 hour cable network.
Choe grew up in Brookline and started his career here in Boston, working as a hot dog vendor at Fenway Park while writing news scripts for WHDH and necn.
He left the TV business for a few years and was also an adjunct journalism professor at Columbia College Chicago and worked as a consultant for the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. He also co-founded Change Media Group, a company focused on empowering Chicago's inner city youth with multimedia story telling skills.
Choe is a graduate of Boston University where he studied broadcast journalism. He is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
In his spare time he enjoys mentoring youth and shopping at thrift stores looking for weird neckties.
