Perry Russom

Reporter

Perry Russom joined NBC 10 Boston and necn in October of 2016.

In June of 2018, Perry was awarded the Boston/New England Regional Emmy for Outstanding Reporter - General Assignment.

He comes from WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island. He started on-air in Binghamton, New York as a reporter/weekend anchor for WBNG-TV.

Perry graduated magna cum laude Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications studying broadcast journalism and political science. He is also a graduate of The Renée Crowne University Honors College. At Syracuse, he was named a Newhouse Scholar as well as a Remembrance Scholar - a distinction honoring the 35 Syracuse University students who died on Pan-Am Flight 103 in 1988.

Perry got his start in news at the age of 18 working for CBS Radio's KYW Newsradio 1060 in Philadelphia. He interned for NBC Philadelphia, and in 2012, he interned with NBC Sports for the Olympic Games in London.

He was born and raised in Highland Park in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He is a proud graduate of St. Joseph's Prep.
