First Snow of the Season for Parts of New England
For winter sports enthusiasts, in particular, the first snow of the season is always exciting. Thursday brought snowflakes to the summit of Vermont’s Stowe Mountain Resort, and those flakes migrated east overnight into Friday morning, dropping the first wet, sloppy accumulation of the season at the summits of Sugarloaf and Sunday River Resort.

Hurricane Dorian Update: Tropical Storm Warning Issued for Cape, Islands
We have a nice cool start in New England, but all eyes are looking south. Dorian continues to generate historic rainfall, hurricane winds and storm surge, and dozens of tornadoes in North Carolina overnight. Outer rain bands of Dorian that may arrive in southern New England by sunset today.

FIRST ALERT: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of New England
Our heat wave continues Wednesday, with highs rising into the 90s for the fourth day in a row. July has certainly been hot across New England and it is the hottest July on record in Boston, with a monthly average temperature of 78.5 degrees. It is also the warmest month ever recorded. This is quite impressive considerng that records began in 1872.
