If you were the lucky one who saw the sun today, hopefully you snapped a picture because clouds will take over again for Wednesday with a wintry mix. Clouds thicken up tonight and areas of patchy drizzle develop along the coast with an onshore wind.

Temperatures reached the low 80s on Sunday, a significant turnaround from Saturday when we recorded a high temperature of 55 degrees at Logan Airport.

Morning clouds burning off for afternoon sun gets the week started on a pleasant note, with highs in the 70s for many and near 70 at the coast where a sea breeze kicks up from time to time.

Low clouds and fog may be a bit stubborn this morning. Along the coast, it might not be until lunchtime that we see the fog burn off.

At 9:52 on Sunday night, the New England Patriots scored a touchdown. Fireworks were launched around the perimeter of Gillette. It appeared the smoke never cleared.

There were numerous delays and cancellations of flights at Boston’s Logan Airport due to fog on Sunday night.
