Today will be as pleasant as yesterday, with sunshine and warm temperatures in the 70s throughout the day. As we get closer to the evening, temperatures will begin to drop into the 40s and 50s, with mostly clear skies. While the storm won’t affect us in New England, Tropical Storm Alex continues to head towards the Gulf Coast.

After a necessary rainfall yesterday, Sunday is the pick of the week, with most of the region enjoying cool air and sunny skies. Temperatures will peak in the low 80s today, with low humidity to accompany it. Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!

A storm system moving from the west to the northeast is to be of concern, with damaging wind gusts and hail possible along with the storm. Staying sheltered at this time is highly advised as the storm passes through the region.

Severe thunderstorm warnings were in place Saturday afternoon in parts of central and western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut, but have since expired. A tree came down on a vehicle on Montebello Road in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood, but authorities have not said whether it was weather-related. The first day of May is going to feel like the first day of Spring for many. High 60s and even low 70s are expected, especially the further you are from the coast. Rain showers are expected Monday and possibly Tuesday, with another rain shower expected for Wednesday, with the chance of scattered showers on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Cooler, cloudy, rainy weather is expected tomorrow, with showers on Monday and Tuesday, and cloudy skies throughout the week. Temperatures will be mild all throughout the week, never breaking above the low 60s.
