A new playground in New Bedford, Massachusetts has been opened to honor the life of slain Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon, who was killed in the line of duty last year. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday at Sgt. Sean M. Gannon Memorial Playground at Elwyn G. Campbell Elementary School. Gannon grew up across the street from the school.
