Rising Temperatures Stretch Into Thursday

Thursday sees the warm-up continuing with highs back into the low to mid 80s under a mix of sun and clouds

A few great days of weather lay ahead for New England with sunshine and warmth expected Wednesday and Thursday, interrupted by a cool overnight with patchy valley fog Wednesday night.

Wednesday afternoon may feature an isolated shower or rumble of thunder in the northern half of New England – those will be few and far between – but Southern New England and most of New England Thursday look dry.

Humidity increases later Thursday and that’s a sign of more moisture that will increase through Friday with increasing clouds and a chance of showers returning to the forecast Friday – particularly during the afternoon and especially in Northern New England.

The weekend still looks to bring some showers on Saturday, and while timing those out remains trick from a few days out, there’s a chance we see both a morning and afternoon round, so we’ll keep you posted.

The frontal system looks to move quickly enough that Sunday may be limited to just scattered afternoon thunder, but that same front slows nearby Monday and Tuesday, prolonging at least the chance of some showers before drier and slightly cooler air arrives for midweek in the exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day forecast.
