Rain and Gusty Winds Heading to Coast

A weekend storm system will be preceded by a warm-up on Friday. Clouds will increase throughout the day. Temperatures will reach the mid-to-upper 40s.

Rain may begin by Friday night. The weekend storm doesn’t look to be too potent, but rain and gusty winds at the coast will be possible.

The unsettled weather may linger into Monday or even Tuesday. Temperatures will stay in the mid-to-upper 40s. Parts of southern New England will reach the low to even mid-50s by Saturday.

Going forward, the weather looks to remain unsettled through the following week. No major storm systems, but it will be fairly busy. At this point, the active pattern doesn’t coincide with any cold.

The predominant form of precipitation will be rain, not snow. At this point, the prospects for a white Christmas are looking quite low.
