NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND

A Taste of Fall Through Tuesday

Humidity returns briefly midweek

What to Know

  • Less humid and cooler air will make for a quiet Sunday
  • Wind out of the northeast will keep us in the 70s
  • Best spot to soak in the sun is Northern New England where temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 70s.

Less humid and cooler air behind the front is responsible for a mostly quiet Sunday. The wind out of the northeast will keep us in the 70s and clouds will be stubborn to dissipate.

There’s a chance for a spot shower over coastal towns due to cool air moving over the warm ocean waters but most of us do stay dry. Best spot to soak in the sun is Northern New England where temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 70s.

We start the workweek under partly sunny conditions with a shower possible towards the South Coast and temperatures do remain in the 70s. By Tuesday, high pressure will move away, allowing for a southerly flow to return, and that’s when humidity will increase, highs will be in the upper 70s - showers are expected Tuesday night into Wednesday morning as a warm front approaches the area.

The weather will improve Thursday with lots of sunshine forecasted to last into the weekend and if the forecast verifies, it will be the first weekend in four weeks to be storm free.
