Delightful Monday Ahead Before Heat and Humidity Return This Week

Expect a ton of sunshine and low humidity on Monday

It was a hot day across most of New England.

Boston, Bridgeport and Hartford all exceeded 90 degrees. For Boston, this was the third time of 2019 that the temperature surpassed that mark. We will be adding to that count this week, though. Thankfully, humidity levels were low Sunday.

Monday looks like a delightful day. You can expect a ton of sunshine, low humidity and temperatures in the low to mid 80s. The highest peaks of New England will be slightly cooler in the 70s.

Tuesday, the heat and humidity start to return. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s and you’ll notice that it will begin to feel a bit more muggy.

Wednesday is going to be very hot and humid with temperatures in the low 90s. There is the outside chance of a shower or thunderstorm.

Barry will continue to lift northeast over the next several days. Some of the moisture that’s left from the storm will arrive Thursday. Downpours are possible throughout the day. Humidity levels will be very high.

Most of the day Friday is looking drier. Showers and thunderstorms will move out and the afternoon will be mostly sunny, hot and humid.

Next weekend is also looking uncomfortably warm and humid. The end of the 10-day shows a little relief to the heat and humidity, but the longer range models are saying that’s temporary. Get ready for a big electrical bill – the A/C will be cranking.
