We’re back in the clouds by tomorrow as the coastal system tracks east of the Cape and Islands.

This low stays offshore but, a few showers may skirt across southeastern Massachusetts. A separate system moves into western New England on Friday, bringing the risk of showers and maybe a couple thunderstorms to western and central areas.

High temperatures reach into the low to mid 70s and 60s at the coast. A cold front stalls north of the area on Saturday, resulting in a mostly sunny day.

A few clouds and showers may pop up across the north during the day. Expecting highs near 80 degrees across the north while slightly cooler in the mid 70s south.

High pressure centered near Bermuda strengthens during the weekend as a southwest flow develops into New England, ushering above-normal temperatures and humid air into the region.

On Sunday, highs in the mid 80s south and low 80s north. Hazy, hot and humid weather moves in for the first half of next week as 90-degree temperatures settle in.

A cold frontal passage brings cooler and more seasonable temperatures by Wednesday.
