It was a snowy evening for the coastlines of southern New England Friday night, but that system has skirted off the New England coastline and out to sea.

For the morning hours on Saturday, watch out for patchy black ice, as well as some slick and snow-covered roadways as temperatures start off in teens to low 20s.

For this weekend, expect seasonable temperatures and drier conditions besides a spot flurry.

High temperatures both Saturday and Sunday are expected in the lower 30s south and 20s north with sunny breaks.

With a quick frontal boundary that passes by Saturday evening, this could spur up a flurry, but the focus Saturday is on the wind chill.

With gusts nearing the 30 mph range, some spots could see wind chills in the teens for most of the day, so bundle up for any of your Saturday plans.

After that front clears the area, winds will calm and Sunday’s weather will be quiet to start.

By late Sunday night into early Monday, another system could bring a chance for a mixed bag of precipitation.

From rain to the southern coastline, to a wintry mix along the Mass Pike, to snow for northern New England, this line can fluctuate as we hammer down the forecast so be sure to stay tuned for the very latest on that system that could impact Monday morning’s commute.

Tuesday brings a slight warm-up with highs stretching back into the mid-40s, followed by a slight cool down back into the mid-30s by midweek.

Next Friday brings another chance for a warm-up and wintry mix, also depending on timing, and then, it’s the holiday weekend.

For your Christmas Eve plans, there’s a slight chance for snow late Sunday into early Monday morning for Christmas Day. These are days nine and 10 on our 10-day forecast, but we will be keeping an eye as we get closer.
