    Monday evening: Showers diminish.
Overnight Monday: Patchy fog and drizzle. Lows in the 40s to near 50.

A fast-moving area of low pressure brings continued cool and damp weather to New England today as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day.

Onshore winds, low-hanging clouds and showers will result in high temperature not making it out of the mid 50s today. Climatological norms this time of year are right around 70 degrees in Boston.

Stubborn and cool northeast flow hangs tough tonight, allowing drizzle and light showers to persist across the region. Lows fall back into the upper 40s to low 50s.

A weak area of high pressure settles in over New England tomorrow, bringing improved conditions to the area. A few showers and perhaps even a thunderstorm may move through during the day. Highs remain in the upper 60s to low 70s.

A front moves across New England on Wednesday, scouring out the persistent onshore flow that has plagued the region since Sunday. Overall, expecting a decent day with a few morning showers, partly sunny otherwise with highs in the 70s. Much nicer and drier weather moves in behind the frontal passage on Thursday.

Highs will reach into the low to mid 70s on Thursday. The next weather system approaches the region on Friday. Mostly sunny skies prevail with highs reaching into mid 70s south and mid 60s north. Looking ahead to the first weekend of June, expecting a dry start with near-seasonable temperatures in the low 70s.
