FIRST ALERT: Downpours Expected to Cause Trouble on Evening Commute

Get ready for some heavy rain as clouds continue to roll in.

As Tropical Storm Erin heads north, its tropical moisture will be injected into a cold front that’s heading east. One to two inches of rain is possible with locally higher amounts of up to a whopping four inches.

It’s been dry lately, but some areas may see some flash flooding. The timing looks to be after the evening commute through early Thursday morning.

After the rain exits, we can look forward to a pleasant afternoon on Thursday. Temperatures will climb into the mid-80s during the afternoon and it will take a while for humidity levels to drop off.

The holiday weekend will be off to a beautiful start. Friday will be sunny and warm. Temperatures will reach the 80s.

Saturday looks very nice as well, with temperatures dropping off into the 70s. Unfortunately, the weather begins to turn by Sunday afternoon. Showers are back Monday.

Showers will linger into Tuesday as temperatures begin to climb once again. Stay tuned!
