Weather Forecast: Highs Just Over 60

Thursday night: Clear. Lows in the 40s. Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy, chance overnight showers. Highs just over 60.

    (Published Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019)

We stay dry for tonight and tomorrow, but showers will move through for Friday night as a shortwave moves across New England.

We have had a couple of beautiful fall days with sunshine and temperatures around 70 degrees. Clouds will start to roll in tonight as our temperatures fall to the 40s.

Clouds increase Friday but some sunshine will peek through the clouds from time to time as highs will still reach the low 60s on a southeast breeze. A quick low pressure system will move through Friday night across northern New England and spread to southern New England bringing scattered showers quickly through.

The rain will be out by dawn Saturday, leaving us with a decent afternoon and evening with dry weather and highs in the 50s.

Sunday looks more complicated as scattered rain moves through from morning to night. The waves of rain will make it soggy for some of your outdoor plans, including for the Patriots game. There could be some breaks in the rain during the game, but we are still ironing out the details as the system across the south in Texas and the southern Plains heads our way.

A break from the rain will arrive Monday, then a midweek storm will push in more rain.

Halloween may begin soggy, but the rain could move out in time for trick-or-treating Thursday evening.

Cooler temperatures will take over next week with highs consistently in the 50s.
