Temperatures today were about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday, and dewpoints were 30 to 40 degrees cooler. The sunshine, low humidity and cooler temperatures felt refreshing this afternoon.

The gusty west northwest wind was the issue of the day, that actually increased our pollen count. At times, it looked like it was snowing pollen across metro west. The wind remains gusty tonight, through Wednesday morning and slowly diminishes by Wednesday night as a center of high pressure moves over the northeast. High temperatures across New England will be seasonable with 50s north, 60s to low 70s south both Wednesday and Thursday.

The International Space Station will be visible to us tonight for 6 minutes starting at 8:32 p.m. The station will appear in the southwest, flying to the northeast.

Temperatures warm a tad as we head into the weekend. The pattern remains unsettled due to the jet stream staying over the northeast through next week, so little quick moving disturbances pass through every 24-36 hours. This makes the timing tricky, but the general thinking is that we have a round of rain Thursday night, showers lingering early Friday, shower chances Saturday night, and again Monday night.

High temperatures will be in the low 70s Friday, mid-70s Saturday, and mid to upper 70s Sunday and Monday.

We seem to have made the turn toward summer-like weather right on cue with the Memorial Day holiday weekend and the kickoff to summer. Our temperatures will stay in the 70s to low 80s in our 8-14 day outlook.
