Heaviest Rain This Week in Southern New England

With the sunshine and dry weather, Monday looks to be the only good beach day of the week

Our crummy weather will clear out just in time to kick off our work week.

Much of New England saw showers and periods of rain throughout the day Sunday.

Monday, sunshine will return and temperatures will climb into the mid 70s. With the sunshine and dry weather, Monday looks to be the only good beach day of the week.

Forecast models are still hinting at multiple rounds of rain. By the end of the week, areas south of Route 2 in Massachusetts could see 1 to as much as 4” of rain! It’s still to early to tell if we will see any flooding, but minor river flooding is possible.

Tuesday and Wednesday mornings look unsettled. Currently, it appears most of the rain will fall in southern New England. A better chance for widespread rain coming up for Friday. Temperatures will stay in the low to mid 70s for much of the week.

By the weekend, shower chances begin to decrease and we should see some drier weather return. Temperatures will get a nice bump up to 80° by then as well.
