Heavy Showers for Most During Morning Commute

Areas of dense fog will continue to reduce visibility to near zero, especially across the south coast, Cape & islands through Friday morning.

Heavy showers will spread in intensity and in coverage through Friday mid-morning.  However, embedded downpours and thunderstorms will lighten up as the morning goes by.

By afternoon, the showers will begin to peel away with sun gradually working in from west to east. Temperatures will climb into the 70s as the wind turns around to the northwest. That will gradually drop the humidity, in addition to clearing us out.

By Friday night, all of New England, even at the coast where clouds and showers last longest, will be in good shape weather-wise.

Summer also officially begins on Friday and the first full weekend of summer looks beautiful.

Expect plenty of sunshine on Saturday with highs in the 70s to around 80. It will be breezy and much less humid. Puffy clouds will develop during the afternoon and a spot shower or sprinkle is possible over higher terrain.

Sunday will be sunny and warmer, with temps in the 70s and even some low to middle 80s. Humidity will be comfortable and we’ll still have a nice northwest breeze.

Our dry stretch continues through Monday with highs in the low 80s. A few showers or storms head in Tuesday into Wednesday as a weak system slowly pushes through.

Our temps will warm a tad for mid-week, possibly nearing the 90 degree mark by Thursday. We have more heat expected through the rest of the 10-day forecast too.
