New England

Hot & Humid with Afternoon Storms for Some

We’re waking up to sunshine today, and a southerly wind that’s gradually increasing humidity across New England.

The entire day will be muggy as a result, with highs surging to around 90 in many spots. This will be the first of three days around 90, so some spots in New England will likely log a heat wave to start the week.

A front will approach today, sparking downpours and storms in Northern New England this afternoon. A few of those storms will slip into Southern New England around dinner-time and sunset.

Both Monday and Tuesday are similar, with very humid air and highs near 90. Each day will feature a spot storm, but many places will stay dry.

Wednesday and Thursday bring a better chance of more widespread downpours as a second cold front approaches. Not only will that bring some rain, but it will drop our temperatures and humidity by week’s end.
