Thursday is shaping up to be very similar to Wednesday, with early morning fog near the coast burning off to sunshine. Temperatures will be coolest here thanks to a sea breeze, with highs in the 70s.

Inland, where there’s more sunshine and no cooling breeze off of the ocean, expect temperatures in the 80s to near 90! It will also still be somewhat muggy around New England.

A few spotty showers, downpours, and storms will flare up Thursday, particularly across northern New Hampshire and Maine. After that, patchy fog redevelops near the coast during the night with lows in the 50s and 60s across New England.

We shake the seabreeze on Friday, and that means temperatures warm up for more of us. Expect most cities and towns to reach the 80s, and even close to 90 in the warmest spots. The vast majority of the day will be dry, aside from a shower or downpour in parts of coastal Maine.

That will be the best beach day of the next several, as more unsettled weather returns this weekend.

Neither Saturday nor Sunday will be total washouts, but both days will feature lots of clouds and occasional rounds of downpours and storms.

It will be muggy and in the 80s on Saturday, with less humid air starting to arrive Sunday. Highs will be in the 70s.

Early next week will be mainly dry and comfortable with highs around 80.

By mid-week, as the Fourth of July arrives, temperatures warm back into the 80s and humidity ticks up. An isolated storm is possible here or there, but right now that looks like a low threat so it’s not a big worry for holiday plans.
