    Flooding closed the New England Aquarium for the second day.

    The powerful early March nor'easter that slammed into New England with torrential rain, heavy wind gusts, coastal flooding and snowfall has left areas flooded throughout the region.

    in Boston, the New England Aquarium was closed for a second day Saturday due to significant flooding in the area. 

    The Seaport District and Long Wharf area where the aquarium is located is especially vulnerable during storms.

    Fire hydrants were nearly completely submerged in flood waters.
