The weather system that moved into New England Friday regenerated off our coast Monday night and is still impacting part of eastern New England this morning.
A well defined, fairly weak, spring nor'easter is spinning in the Gulf of Maine. Bands of heavy rain caused flooding in spots Monday night with more than 2 inches of rain hitting a few New England locations.
While most of the showers have passed, parts of eastern Massachusetts to Maine should still expect some rain. At the same time it’s a mostly sunny day west of the Connecticut River with a high temperature near 70 degrees. In eastern Maine it’s a damp day with temperatures in the 40s. For most of us, it’s partly sunny with a high temperature near 60 degrees.
Another weather system, faster moving than this most recent three day event, will race in Tuesday night. It brings with it a period of rain north and a few showers south. Low temperature in the 40s. It could be cold enough in the mountains and lower elevations in northern Maine that rain may mix with, or change to, snow.
It’ll turn into a very nice day in southern New England Wednesday with sunshine and a high temperature in the 60s. Clouds may be slow to break in the north, with slow drying high temperature in the 40s and 50s.
Thursday looks nice for all of us with sunshine and high temperature in the 60s.

For the third time in three weeks, we have another storm developing in the south with a severe weather outbreak in Texas and Oklahoma. Almost the same exact thing as last week.
New England will turn wet again Friday and this time, there’s colder air in place so we may may end up with a wintry mix in the mountain tops. It likely evolves into a coastal storm of cold wind and drier air on the backside Friday night into Saturday with hopeful clearing for the weekend.
