Weather Forecast: Highs in 70s and 80s

Tuesday Night: Showers end, patchy fog, muggy. Lows in the 60s. Wednesday: Early morning clouds to sun. Highs in the 80s, 70s coast.

    (Published Tuesday, June 25, 2019)

Scattered showers and thundershowers continue to move east through New England. The rain comes to an end tonight from west to east, but our humidity will stick around for the rest of the night and into the weekend. Patchy fog will develop overnight as the clouds dissipate.

Morning clouds hang around Wednesday, then more sun is expected in the afternoon as highs reach the 80s inland, and 70s on the coast with a sea breeze. In Maine, temperatures are stuck in the 60s thanks to lingering showers and clouds.

Nightly fog will become the norm as dewpoints remain high in the upper 50s and low 60s and our temperatures cool to near dewpoint each night. During the day, our dewpoint temperatures remain in the 60s at least through the end of the work week.

Temperatures slowly increase inland and will be near 90 by Friday. Local seabreezes along the coast will keep highs a tad cooler each day. More sun is in store for southern New England through Friday, while northern and western New England will see pop up showers and storms in the late afternoons. A very summery weather pattern.

A larger system moves through Saturday into Sunday. Saturday will bring more widespread rain and storms with the humidity and highs in the mid-80s.

We cool a tad Sunday to the upper 70s as some early rain moves through. A daily pop up storm and shower chance remains in the forecast for next week, which includes July 4th! For now, plan on a pop up storm chance in the afternoon and temperatures in the low 80s.
