Showers, Some Sun This Weekend

It’s been a very soggy week across New England, with more than 4” of rain falling in Boston. This weekend brings more showers, with some periods of sun as well.

The wettest part of Saturday will be the morning, with some thunderstorms along the Maine coast, but expect improvement during the afternoon as a gusty west wind develops. That will dry us out and bring back some sunshine.

Highs will be in the 50s for many, but even with those sunny breaks we’ll still have a few spot showers. In the mountains of Northern and Western New England, a few wet flakes will even mix in.

Clearing and drying continues tonight as lows drop into the 30s and 40s.

Early sunshine on Sunday will be replaced fairly quickly by clouds and another round of afternoon showers. Highs will be in the 50s.

Monday is really the only dry, bright day we have out of the next several, so enjoy it. Highs will be in the 50s to near 60.

By Tuesday morning, another wave of low pressure brings more showers. And that’s not it. Showers return Wednesday into Thursday, with more late week into next week.
