After a frosty start we warmed up nicely, close to 70° this afternoon.

Tonight should be a little less cold, as a bit of a breeze comes in more from the southeast and south, many of us will cool through the 50s to the 40s. But for northern New Hampshire and north central Maine we are still near 32° by morning.

Patchy fog is likely to redevelop in a few spots.

Tomorrow we will have sunshine mixed with fair-weather cirrus clouds, high temperature again in the 60s near the shore, to lower 70s well inland.

The strong high-pressure system gets south of New England on Wednesday meaning more wind from the southwest, and return to above normal temperatures with many locations reaching 82°.

The next front arrives on Thursday with sun and clouds, and a chance of a shower north, once again highs near 80°.

A better chance for a shower in southern New England on Friday as that front tends to weaken and stall, a mix of sun and clouds with the spot shower and a high temperature closer to 70°.

The early call on Columbus Day weekend is for more sunshine than clouds, chance for a shower later Saturday, otherwise mostly dry with a high temperature in the 60s.
