A cold front pressing south from Canada will deliver showers, slowly sagging from north to south, across New England Monday.

Periodic rain has already been falling in Northern New England, where high temperatures will struggle to reach beyond the middle 50s, while Southern New England warms ahead of the front, then sees the wind shift to blow from the northeast wind cooling temperatures as showers settle in during the afternoon, evening and night.

Cool, raw air will persist Tuesday with occasional showers and hilltop fog, with showers departing Tuesday night for a day of steady improvement Wednesday.

By Thursday, mild air with some sun will boost temperatures to 75 to 80 degrees by afternoon before a quick-moving cold front delivers a brief evening shower and cooler, dry air settles in for the weekend, promising yet another great fall weekend!

In fact, our exclusive Early Warning Weather 10-day forecast shows moderating temperatures and continued fair weather probable into the middle of next week.
