Sunshine Arrives in New England as Dorian Departs

Sunshine is breaking out across New England, as Hurricane Dorian rapidly moves away from New England.

After many gusts 40 to 60 miles per hour on the Cape and the Islands early this morning, winds continue to relax this afternoon as temperatures climb into the 60s to near 70.

A spot shower or downpour is possible in far Northern New England this afternoon or tonight, as a disturbance pivots through. That’s actually the disturbance helping to shove Dorian away from us, and into Canada.

Otherwise skies will be mostly clear with lows in the 40s north, and 50s south tonight.

Sunday looks beautiful with lots of sunshine and highs in the 70s. Again expect a few extra clouds and a spot shower in the mountains.

Monday and Tuesday will also be nice, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the 60s to near 70.

Our next shower chance holds off until Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures ticking up by then as well.
