Potent showers and thunderstorms pushed out to the sea Wednesday evening. But now, high pressure moving from Canada to the Great Lakes states is bringing in lower humidity and clearing sky.

Temperatures are starting in the 50s north and 60s south, with much less humid air than Wednesday.

We have a beautiful Thursday, with plenty of sunshine and a few fair-weather clouds mixed in for a time. High temperatures will be in the 70s to 80s. Wind from the west and northwest 10 to 15 mph.

It will be clear overnight, and almost cool -- 40s and low 50s north, 50s to near 60 degrees south.

A beautiful Friday is in store for us with plenty of sunshine and highs in the lower 80s.

With light wind, a local sea breeze will develop, closer to 80 degrees at the beach. The sunburn factor for Friday will be a 10 out of 10.

Not quite as bright this weekend, as the high-pressure system will eventually move offshore. Fair weather clouds will build each afternoon, but it looks like a mostly dry weekend.

High temperatures will be in the 80s as the dewpoint slowly climbs back through the 60s to near 70 degrees. That means more humid weather, especially by Sunday.

Another storm system will move through the great lakes on Sunday and will push a warm front into western New England with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm late in the day.

That warm front gets north of us early next week, meaning temperatures could climb back to 90 degrees as summer is not done with New England yet.
