A warm front pushes through New England today, resulting in a wide range of temperatures across the region. Highs will range from the upper 50s across northeastern Massachusetts to the mid 60s elsewhere.
Showers and clouds move in behind the warm front overnight. Scattered thunder may accompany some heavier showers. Areas of fog and drizzle around. Lows drop into the low 50s south and upper 40s north.
Showers move offshore by daybreak Tuesday. Partial sunshine develops behind exiting showers with breezy southwest winds. Highs reach well into the mid to upper 70s south and near 70 degrees north.
Low pressure continues to push offshore on Wednesday. Cloudy skies prevail as a weak weather system passes over the region. Risk of showers across western Massachusetts. Highs near normal for this time of year in the 60s south and 50s north.
The next weather system approaches New England on Thursday. Were expecting a mostly dry day with onset of precipitation beginning in the late afternoon across western Massachusetts and Vermont.
Highs on Thursday reach into the mid 60s south and near 60 degrees north. Heavy rain moves in on Friday as a slow-moving area of low pressure ushers in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.
This will result in a long period of rain. Isolated thunderstorms may develop into the afternoon and evening as stronger energy moves into southern New England.
