Warmer Mother's Day, But Rain to Follow

Brighter (and warmer) times for Mother’s Day. After a damp, dreary, cool, cloudy Saturday, we are expecting a significant improvement going into Sunday. Temperatures will remain cool along the coast, while inland locations could approach 70°. Fog and low clouds will be a little slow to burn off during the morning.

Monday and Tuesday will be nice days. Temperatures ranging from the low 70s on Monday to the upper 70s by Tuesday. This nuisance frontal boundary will continue to oscillate back and forth through the week.

Even if you’re on the ‘cool side’ of the front, sunshine will boost temperatures into the 60s and 70s since it’s May. If clouds win out, it will be considerably cooler – point in case – this Saturday!

Shower chances will linger for as long as this front is nearby. We could need the rain gear from Tuesday through next weekend. There won’t be enough rain to wash out your outdoor plans, but make sure you have a backup just in case.
