Warmer Temperatures Arrive With Chance of Storm Tuesday

We had a spectacular start to the work week with sun for all and temperatures in the 60s inland and 50s on the coast. Overnight, we drop to lows in the 40s under scattered clouds, but still dry.

A southwest wind will dominate the day Tuesday, boosting temperatures even along the coast to the 60s to low 70s! We expect a mostly sunny start, with a showery or stormy end to the day across southern New England.

A cold front moves from north to south during the day Tuesday. The morning will be soggy with scattered showers across the north county and temperatures in the 50s. The front moves through Boston by evening, triggering a few showers and even a thunderstorm from late afternoon through the evening drive home.

Slightly cooler temperatures will return for Wednesday along with drier air, so we're going with seasonable highs in the 60s with sun.

Our next soaker moves in Thursday into Friday, with around an inch of rainfall in the forecast through Friday night. Temperatures cool to the 50s both days and you’ll need your rain gear again.

The good news is that the messy weather moves out by the weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 60s.

Mother’s Day looks to be dry to start, with a few showers late in the day. More seasonable temperatures are in the forecast for the following week too, and a couple waves of showers. Can’t quite shake the pattern just yet, but we are improving slowly!
