A front is crossing New England from northwest to southeast with cooler air gradually filtering back in this afternoon, but it's a nice looking Wednesday.

After a few showers across parts of northern New England and a little bit of snow in the mountains, most of us have more sun than clouds with temperatures in the 50s south, and 40s north. Wind will not be as strong as last night, from the southwest then northwest 15 to 20 mph.

High-pressure moves over New England tonight with temperatures once again cooling back to the teens and 20s north, to 20s and 30s south.

Tomorrow starts off with sunshine followed by another front arriving from the west with clouds returning before the day is over with a high temperature in the 40s, 30s in the hills. It is generally a nice day though.

That front is on us Friday with morning rain showers, or a couple of inches of snow in the mountains, followed by partial clearing a high temperature in the 40s.

Saturday looks seasonable with a mixture of sun and clouds and high temperatures in the 40s. Our forecast becomes more challenging after that as there will be a storm forming at sea later Saturday and Sunday.

Parts of the coastal region may get clipped by some rain and/or snow. But for most of New England it looks like a dry Sunday with temperatures in the 40s south, and 30s north.

Next week should start off dry and seasonable, but we may see some more action in the form of rain, and rain or snow in the mountains, by late Tuesday into the middle and later part of next week.
