Boston

Wet Saturday, Warmer Sunday

Rain continues to advance through Southern New England this morning, as temperatures stay locked in the 50s to near 60 degrees.

The driest areas are those cities and towns north of Boston, where much of the rain will hold off until this afternoon.

The rain will generally be light, but it will fall steadily during the day. This evening the rain will turn over to more spotty showers. Fog will develop and temperatures will actually rise into the 60s by tomorrow morning.

Sunday will have a totally different feel to it with humidity and highs in the 70s to around 80.

An approaching cold front will bring scattered showers and storms, but there will be plenty of dry times. At the end of the day some sunshine will break out as the front clears.

That will set us up for a beautiful Monday. Refreshing air will dominate with sunshine and highs in the 70s.

Clouds return gradually Tuesday, with a few showers that may linger into Wednesday.

It’s still very early, but for now Memorial Day weekend looks like it will start more pleasant than it finishes.
