Wintry Mix for Some Early Morning Commuters

Some areas are waking up to a wintry mix Thursday morning. As temperatures warm, any mixed precipitation should transition over to rain.

Clouds and showers will continue into the afternoon as temperatures warm into the mid-40s. Total accumulations will generally be under 2 inches. The exception would be northern New England, where we could see as much as 3-to-6-inches.

Sunnier, warmer weather will return on Friday. Temperatures should reach the upper 40s and low 50s during the afternoon.

The weekend should be a 50/50 split – rainy Saturday and sunny on Sunday. Temperatures will reach the mid to upper-40s each day. We aren’t expecting significant amounts of rain on Saturday, but up to a half inch is possible.

Next week will turn slightly colder, which means our weather could become slightly more interesting.

Some snow is possible between Monday night and Wednesday morning. Temperatures will be marginal, so it is way too early to discuss possible accumulations and who will see snow. Stay tuned!
