Accidental Thief Steals Subaru, Returns It With Apology Note

When Erin Hatzi’s red Subaru went missing near her driveway in Portland, Oregon, something seemed off to her. “It didn’t seem like the normal actions of a car thief,” Hatzi said. “You wouldn’t think they’d sit there in idle in the owner’s driveway for two or three minutes.” The supposed thief returned the car later with an apology note that claimed she had accidentally driven off with the car.
