Harvard Square Hit Especially Hard By COVID, Has Lost Nearly 50 Businesses

If you take a drive around Harvard Square at night, it’s clear there is not the same buzz. Harvard Square, normally packed with students and those visiting from out of town, has been hit especially hard during the coronavirus pandemic. Denison Jillson runs the Harvard Square Business Association and says 30 businesses are in hibernation and 18 have closed permanently, including longtime staple Border Café.
