1 Shot in Roxbury

A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting Thursday night in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood.

A man is recovering after being shot Thursday night in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.

Police say the shooting happened just before 10 p.m. on Wardman Road. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A witness says he was parking his car when he heard several gunshots.

Originally, police believed the suspects got away in a U-Haul. That vehicle was quickly pulled over, but those inside were determined to be witnesses.

One of the bullets hit a nearby window. The man who lives inside says his father normally sits near that spot, by the air conditioner, but he wasn't there Thursday night.

No further information was immediately available.
