3-Alarm Fire In Franklin Destroys Building

One person had to be rescued in a Sunday morning 3-alarm fire in Franklin, MA that officials say destroyed a building.

The Franklin Fire Department say they got the call about the house fire on Jordan Road just before 10am Sunday morning.

When crews arrived they found one person inside the attic of the building trying to put out the fire around the chimney. That person was taken from the building by firefighters and transported to Milford Regional Hospital. It is unclear on their condition.

Firefighters from nearby Norfolk, Wrentham, Plainville, Milford, Medway and Mendon assisted in getting the fire under control. However officials say that the building is a complete loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but the Franklin Fire Department says that it does appear to be accidental.
