Boston police are investigating after a body was found in a vehicle in the city's Allston neighborhood on Friday morning.

Police said they received a call around 8:22 a.m. after a man's body was found inside a vehicle that had been towed to a tow lot at an Emery Road tow company.

Brookline police confirmed that the vehicle had been towed from a TJ Maxx in Brookline to the Allston tow yard. The tow operator didn't notice the man inside the vehicle until Friday morning, when they called Boston police.

Brookline and Massachusetts State Police are now investigating.

No further details were immediately available.
