Car Pulled from Pond in Groton

A resident was trying pull their boat out of Baddacook Pond in Groton Sunday when it slipped and was submerged

Groton police pulled a car from a pond after it was submerged when someone was trying to pull their boat out.

A resident was backing up to pull their boat out of the water around 10 p.m. Sunday on Martins Pond Road. They backed up too far and their car began slipping into Baddacook Pond, according to police.

There were no injuries.
