Officials with the United States Coast Guard have suspended the search for a possible person in the water off Chatham, Massachusetts.

Authorities said Thursday morning boat crews had been searching for the owner of a dinghy that was found unmanned at about 5:45 a.m. near Monomoy Island.

Coast Guard officials said the search was suspended pending further information, as no missing people have been reported.
