Dorchester Market Charred in 3-Alarm Fire

Firefighters respond to a 3-alarm fire at a market in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood.

Firefighters knocked down a three-alarm blaze at a market in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood on Friday.

The structure fire was reported sometime before 5:40 a.m. in the area of 600 Blue Hill Ave. Photos from the scene show the front and of the market and back of the building sustained some damage.

During the fire's peak, smoke could be seen coming from a few of the building's second story windows.

Injuries were not immediately reported. It is unclear how the fire started.
