Firefighter Injured, 14 Displaced After Fire in Boston's Mattapan Neighborhood

Icebergs aren’t a common sight in Massachusetts, but massive chunks of ice have washed up on some beaches – and they’re drawing curious onlookers.

A firefighter was injured and 14 people were displaced following a 2-alarm fire in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood Sunday night.

The fire was located at a building on Evelyn Street. It has since been knocked down, but crews are monitoring hot spots.

A nearby restaurant was used as a temporary shelter from the cold. Of the people displaced, 10 were adults and four were children.

One firefighter was taken to a local hospital for a shoulder injury.

Video from the scene showed large flames coming from the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
