This week’s Restaurant Roundup includes a classic Boston restaurant on the market, well-known business titans opening a new Italian restaurant and another J.P. Licks location.
It looks like a celebrity chef will be bringing his New York-based vegan pizzeria to the Boston area.
According to an article from Eater Philadelphia, Double Zero is expanding to several cities (possibly later this year), including locations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, with another in the works for Brooklyn as well. Based on the original East Village location of Double Zero, the Boston outlet could feature wood-fired pizzas made using nut-based cheeses.
Matthew Kenney, who is behind the place, is a two-time James Beard Award nominee who runs a number of meat- and dairy-free dining spots around the world and has also written cookbooks on plant-based foods.
