A driver and passenger were killed Friday in an early morning car crash involving a deer in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash on Interstate 495 northbound near the Chelmsford rest stop shortly after 5 a.m.
According to police, a Nissan Rogue hit a deer and swerved into the median, causing the car to go airborne and crash into several trees. Both the driver and his passenger were pronounced dead on scene.
State police identified them late Friday night as Rudolph Vah, 53, and Jartu Flamma, both of Acton.

The deer was also killed in the crash.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved, police said.
The left lanes of I-495 north and southbound were closed until around 10 a.m.

The fatal crash remains under investigation. No other information was immediately available Friday.
